A huge welcome back to all our boys and girls. A special welcome to all our new boys and girls too. We are really proud of you all. You all did so well during your first week with us!

We all had a super first week back! We thought you might like to see a few pics of  some of the many things we have been up to already.

Some of the boys and girls found a snail outside.
They were very interested in him and wanted to make him a path and a house.
He was even given a cucumber snack just in case he was hungry.

Peep!
Lots of building fun with the coloured shapes this week too.

Some of the children had great fun at the theatre.
There were lots of super puppet shows to watch throughout the week.

There were lots of opportunities for mark making outside this week too.
This was really popular.
Many of the children enjoying to draw round each other again. What fun!

Time to get painting in the art room!
All of the children have been busy exploring and becoming familiar with all of the different places that they can play.

Fun with the playdough and frames.
The frames were very popular and some of the children are keen that we add them to our writing table next week.

Water fun inside and out!
Lots of fun pouring and filling in the water tray with the blue, bubbly water.

We have clean windows!
Well Done to all our hard working window cleaners.
We had great fun with the bubbles too.

We had some expert detectives this week too!
They were on a mission to find some missing books and cars.
They enjoyed using the magnifying glasses to find the clues and evidence!

I wonder what adventures we will get up to next week?
Remember to look back and see...

We hope you have all had a really super holiday.
A huge welcome back to our boys and girls who were with us before the holidays and a special hello to all our new boys and girls too.

Here's a few pics of our last day of last term.
We had a really super trip as we visited Binscarth Woods again.
This year we had an 'Ugly Ball' theme.

What great fun we all had!

Some of us even dressed up as bugs for our trip!
What a fantastic effort!
At one of our stations, we were very busy making bug stones.

Here we are having great fun as we explore the woods.
Tyre swing fun!!

Here some of the boys and girls are busy exploring the water.
They were very busy hunting for bugs and creatures.
What great gun they had with the nets and buckets.

Time for a story before we all head home.

Remember to look back again this week as we will be posting some pictures of the things we are up to during our first week of term.

Many of us have been keen to watch our caterpillars as they grow even bigger this week!
They are huge!
We are excited to watch as they get ready to change into butterflies now.

Here are some of the children loving to make symmetrical butterflies!
They made a super job and the butterflies were fantastic!

The children put their road safety work into action this week as they went on a trip over to the Market Green.

The children all had a super time!
We are planning to pop back across next week for some more fun.

Time for lots of small group building challenges this week.

Here are the butterflies busy making a chair from the Lego Bricks

Great work!

The children had an outdoor challenge this week too.
Using the loose parts they had to decide how we could cross the nursery playground!

We watched and listened to some fantastic team work and team spirit!

We had some very exciting visitors yesterday too!

Fun Box came to visit the school yesterday morning!

They were fantastic and all of the children and adults really enjoyed their show!

Another couple of busy weeks in the nursery.
Let's have a wee look at some of the things we have been up to.

We had a very special visitor in the nursery. Emily Finlay visited us with Archie the bear.
They were busy promoting a Fairy Tale Ball.
Maybe some of you will be going along.
Many of us have loved exploring the balance scales in the science and investigation area.
Lots of us were keen to find more out about heavy and light.

Many of the children are loving mermaids at the moment.
So we popped some Playmobile people and gems at the playdough.
Lots of super mermaids were made!
We also added some silk flowers and quickly the children opened a florist shop too!

So if you are planning a wedding this summer, get in touch with the children for all your flower arrangements. :-)

Lots of fun in the Science and Investigation with our building challenges too!

The nursery boys and girls were keen to visit the library too.
They had watched our preschoolers go and wanted a wee turn too.
Here they are enjoying this lovely space in the school too.

The small world area looked fantastic and was a very exciting place to explore many different textures.

Exploring magnetic and non magnetic in the sensory tray.
A little bit of balancing too!

We added lots of different types of tape and junk to our construction area.
As you can see the children are enjoying investigating the tape!

Time to investigate Length!

Sally from Book Bug visited us last week too.
It was a special Book Bug week and we all enjoyed our visit.

We have caterpillars!
Lots of us were keen to keep an eye on them and see how big they are getting.

Time to explore the jelly outside!
We loved chopping it up with the scissors, developing our fine motor skills as we chopped.
It smelt delicious too!

Look back soon to see what we have been up to this week!
