We had a super day in the nursery last Friday and enjoyed taking part in the 'Children in Need' activities.

Lots of us came to nursery in our pyjamas for the day and enjoyed our children in need sleepover.

Many of the boys and girls enjoyed having a pudsey bear facepaint and also gave their teddies a pudsey bear make over!

We enjoyed our bedtime treat of hot chocolate and marshmallows under the 'parachute' blanket.

We thought the hot chocolate was delicious!

We all got cosy in our big bed!
We snuggled under the covers for our 'Katie Morag' bedtime story together.

We have been very busy learning about road safety in the nursery too.

Last week we had a very special visitor to the nursery!
The lollipop lady visited us.
She came to talk to us all about how we should cross the road safely
We all listened really well and she helped us to cross our very own zebra crossing carefully.

It's been another couple of very busy weeks in the nursery!

We thought you might like to see some of the many things that the nursery boys and girls have been up to.

We enjoyed listening and responding to the Katy Perry song 'Firework'

We used our brightly coloured ribbons to help us to move around the hall like fireworks.

We listened to the music and tried to move our bodies quickly when the music was loud and slowly when the music was quiet.

We tried to move our body to look like fireworks and enjoyed jumping, twirling and running.
We were very active just like the fireworks in the sky!

We enjoyed making firework pictures too.

We used the special brusho paint and water to make our super firework pictures!

We helped to keep the Stromness Tradition of pops alive in the nursery.

We had great fun designing and making our own 'Pops'

Lots of us enjoyed using the wool for their hair, googly eyes and even coloured lollipop sticks to help design our creations.

We all had a fantastic ‘Wear it Pink’ day last week and would like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us in wearing pink in the nursery.
We would also like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to everyone who kindly donated to our ‘Wear it Pink’ day. We managed to raise £96.20 for Breast Cancer Research.
