What a lot of busy little people we had in nursery last week!
We thought you might like to see some of the many things that we have been doing.

We have been busy exploring the 'beebots'.
We were learning how to make them move in different directions.

In the hall, it was time for us to move in lots of different directions too!
We were busy practising our balancing.
We were using the benches and the PE equipment to climb on and balance across.
As part of the Scottish Children's Book Awards,we have been listening to the book 'Robot Rumpus' throughout the week.
Once we had listened to the book a couple of times, we started to plan and design our own robots!
We had to think about the special skill our robot would have.
Then we had to think about what we would use to make it.
We are all really busy coming up with lots of super ideas.
Well Done boys and girls!
Once we had planned our fantastic robots, it was time to start building!
Here we are constructing our robots!
Many of us were very busy gluing, sticking, cutting and painting.
Once we had finished our robots, we voted for our favourite one.
Then we even took the robots on tour!
They were so super, we took them to visit Primary One and even all the way up to Primary Seven!

Welcome Back to the Nursery.
Our first week in 2015!
It's been great to see all the boys and girls settle so well back in to the nursery routines and what a busy week it has been!

Many of the boys and girls helped to make vegetable soup this week.
We were all really excited as the tatties and the onions were from our nursery garden!

We were very busy washing, chopping and stirring the vegetables.
We all really enjoyed tasting our soup too.
We think it tasted so yummy as it came  from our own garden!
Well Done to all our little gardeners.

We have all been keeping fit and healthy this week too.
Earlier in the week we were using the equipment in the hall and playing parachute games.
Here we are busy dancing to the 'Milkshake Bop Box'
We are watched and listened.
Then the fun began as we followed and copied the dance moves.
It was tiring and lots of us felt very hot after all of our exercise but it was great fun too!
Lots of us are keen to dance to some different songs soon.
We have been listening to some 'Traditional Tales' this week too.
We built a gingerbread house and listened to the story of the 'Gingerbread Man'.
Then we made and decorated our own Gingerbread men.
When they were baked and cooled we munched them up for our snack.
Lots of us were like the fox in the story as we gulped up our gingerbread man.
Some of us munched the head first, while others munched up the toes!
Luckily our gingerbread men didn't escape from our oven! They were all safely in our tummies!
