Thank you to everyone who joined us in the nursery today for our review.

The children have worked hard this week to learn the words and actions to the song ' In my Little Red Tractor'

We think our little farmers did a great job at driving their little red tractor today too!

As part of the Scottish Book Awards, we have been very busy reading 'Paper Dolls' by Julia Donaldson.
The Paper Dolls - Paperback - 9781447220145 - Julia Donaldson
The children have enjoyed listening to the story and taking part in the activities related to this story throughout the week.
Here we are all very busy designing and creating our very own set of 'Paper Dolls'
Our 'Paper Dolls' are very long and we could stretch them out!
We have put all of our super 'Paper Dolls' up in the nursery for you to see.
Lots of us made a big 'Paper Doll' too.
We tried to make it look just like us!
We had to think about what we looked like and what we were wearing!
We have displayed these in the nursery too and we think you will agree that they all look super!

Lots of the paper  dolls had escaped from the nursery today!
We went on a hunt to try and find them.
They had managed to get quite far!
Each paper doll had a letter on them. We looked carefully at the letters too.

We enjoyed decorating our own 'gingerbread paper doll' people today too.
We were all excited to show our grown ups a review time today and keen to taste them!
We hope they tasted yummy!

A huge well done to all our new boys and girls who joined us last week.

This week they received a very special SPS Heroes award from Mr McIntosh for settling in to the nursery so well.

We have even been keeping fit this week in the nursery by playing Alphabet Twister!

We wonder if you can recognise anyone?

We have been very busy decorating our initial letters shapes too.
Many of us have used feathers, coloured paper and glitter shapes to decorate our initial letters.

We have displayed these around the nursery so look out for them the next time you visit us.
We have been exploring initial letters this week in the nursery.

We have used lots of different materials to make our initial letter. We are becoming more familiar with what our letters look like so we can write our names.

The children are all very busy making their initial letter of their name.
Some of the children used lego bricks, some of the children decided to use wooden bricks and some children decided to make the letters using pipe cleaners.

We had great fun making all the different letters!

ENG0-12a/LIT0-13a/21a: I explore sounds, letters and words, discovering how they work together, and I can use what I learn to help me as I read and write.
One of the presents the nursery received from Santa were two remote control cars!

We had great fun taking these outside and making tracks for them last week.
It was tricky to make the cars go through and over the tracks.

Luckily we had some expert drivers in the nursery!

Welcome back to term three!

Our last week of term two was a very busy time in nursery!

We thought you might enjoy looking at the pictures of the many things we got up to before the holidays.

We were all very proud of our little sheep!

Our nursery boys and girls all worked really hard to learn the songs and actions and all did a fantastic job in participating in this years Nativity.

It was party time in the Nursery too!

We all had a great time at our Christmas party, playing party games, munching on our special party snack and best of all bouncing on the bouncy castle!

We were all very excited to visit Santa in his wonderful grotto. Santa had presents for the nursery and told us that we had to listen out for Santa's sleigh bells on Christmas Eve. Many of us we keen to let Santa know what we would like for Christmas too!
