Wow!
A huge 'Thank You' to everyone who joined us this morning.
We had a great time on our ramble up Brinkies Brae!

What a super morning we had exploring and investigating as we went on our ramble.
We used our special 'Brinkies Brae' telescopes to look all around just like Timothy Poke did in the story 'Shark in the Dark'
 What amazing views!
It was great for the children and adults to explore this lovely walk in their local environment.
Wow! Look at some of the Brinkies Brae treasure we found on our way!
The children were all little stars. Well Done. We are really proud of you all.

Time for a snack and a drink to get energy for the next part of the walk!
Exploring and enjoying the muddy puddles along the way.
And finally for those who still had some energy left a little trip to the park before home and a rest!
Here's some pictures to let you see some of the many things we have been up to this week already!

Here are some more of the children busy planting their magic beans!
Some of them have already started to sprout!
I wonder what might be at the top of these beanstalks?!

Messy fun in the art room!
Lots of fun hand painting.

Lots of fun for sports relief this week!
Yesterday we visited the Mugga.
We all really enjoyed exploring this space.
We had great fun playing with the balls and hula hoops.

We have had great fun outdoors with the sports equipment too.

We have been busy discussing and drawing different sports in our small group times this week too.
We have made a big book all about 'Sport Relief' for you to have a look at.
 Fun in the mud!
We had great fun racing down the hill and sliding on the muddy grass!
Time for some for sports fun in the hall this week too.

What a busy week of activity and keeping fit and healthy.

More fun with Patsy and Sally on World Book Day last Thursday.

Can you spot who some of these people are?
Some more of our boys and girls dressed up last week as their favourite book characters.
Don't they all look fab!

We were all enjoying our traditional tales so much last week that we continued to read more this week.

Here we are enjoying a small group activity about the Princess and the Pea.
Look at all of those blankets!
Here we are testing them out with our bottoms!
I wonder who could feel the pea?
We have been enjoying our new role play area this week.
We were busy changing our toy hospital into the house where the three bears lived.
Goldilocks visited lots this week too.
We enjoyed playing with the big, medium and small bowls and spoons, chairs and beds.

We have been listening to the story of the Gingerbread man this week too.
Here are some of the children busy making gingerbread men!

They smelt delicious!
We enjoyed making them so much that we make some gingerbread playdough too.

Time to plant our Magic Beans!
Fingers crossed we might have some beanstalks by Monday!

Some of the children were very busy in the art room this week too.
They made a super Giant, Beanstalk and Jack.

Well it's been another busy week here!
With World Book Day on Thursday, we had a theme of traditional tales in the nursery this week.
The children has been thoroughly enjoying all the traditional tales and related activities so we have been busy planning some more for next week too!

Here are some of our little investigators!
We had a crime scene in the nursery this week!
Someone had broken a chair!
They had even visited the teddy bear hospital and knocked over the chairs in here too!
Luckily we had three little bears keen to solve the mystery.
We had lots of boys and girls keen to help too.
Using magnifying glasses, torches and cameras they set to work!

What lovely imaginative play we had outside this week too.
Here many of the children are acting out the story of the Billy Goats Gruff.
Who's that trip trapping over my bridge?
The three little pigs were busy too.
Many of the boys and girls were keen to build straw, brick and stick houses.
When they were built there were lots of keen wolves to huff and puff too!
Here are some of the boys and girls dresses up as their favourite book characters on Thursday for World Book Day.

We had some very special visitors on Thursday too. Patsy (Where's Wally?) and Sally visited us.
We had a lovely time listening to stories and singing songs and rhymes.
Here are some of the children exploring the porridge oats in the sensory tray.

Here are some of the butterflies busy building the Three Little Pigs house during their small group activity today.

Lindsey from the RSPB visited this week too!
She spoke to us about different types of birds and the sounds they make.
Then she showed us how to make fat balls to feed the birds.
We had a super time.
We planted some cress seeds in our tough spot.
Hopefully over the weekend some of Jack's Beanstalks will have grown!

We have been very busy talking about our feelings and emotions in the nursery.
Here are some pictures of the many things we have been up to.

Last week Vicky Millen joined us for some dance sessions!
We all had a fantastic time!

We listened to lots of different types of music.
Some of the music was quiet and slow, while some of the music was loud and fast!

As we listened to the music, we danced and moved our bodies to show lots of different feelings and emotions.
We were excellent!
We showed many different feelings and emotions through dance such as sad, happy and even angry!

Vicky is coming back next week so do some more dancing with us and we can't wait!
Thank you Vicky!
We were busy making faces in the play dough last week too!
Here are some pictures of us making some very happy looking faces and some very sad looking faces too!
