And finally folks.... Some pictures to share with you!
We are back online!
So sorry we have been having difficulty getting the website to work lately to get these uploaded for you.
It's working today, so here we go!
Enjoy browsing these pictures from the term so far. It has been a very busy and exciting start to Term 4.
Here we are busy on the Market Green.
Lindsay from the RSPB invited us to join her for a senses walk.
We had a super, super time.
We investigated both colour and texture.
We also used Listening stones to see what we could hear.
We also had a very busy week focusing on Magnus 900.
Lucie's dad came in to visit us in the nursery.
He is an archaeologist!
We were all very excited to listen and observe as we found out more about his special job.
He showed us lots of artefacts and told us about the sorting trays.
We found out that archaelogists put their precious finds in trays to categorise and identify what it is.
We all enjoyed this visit so much that we set up our own Archaelogist Dig!
Katrina Garson visited us too.
She took some newspaper with her!
With Katrina we had a lesson that taught us all about resilience and not giving up!
We popped newspaper on our head and tried to balance it!
Some of us moved fast, while others decided to move slow.
We were snakes too! We make our newspaper wriggle and slither like a snake!
This was a really tricky challenge!
We tried to move the newspaper by blowing.
We were just like the Big Bad Wolf! We huffed and we puffed and we did it!
At the end of our week celebrating Magnus 900, we held a closing assembly on the Friday afternoon.
We joined to see the fantastic Longships that the children made as part of their house challenge.
After the closing assembly, we all popped out to watch the Viking Ships being launched.
What a super ending to our Magnus 900 week.
Snow!
We all enjoyed playing in the snow that just didn't stop falling all morning!
As part of our transition activities, we joined the big playground for a rather snowy adventure!
What fun!
Time to explore the 'Big' Playground on a less snowy day too!
The children are exploring the big playground so confidently as they get ready for Primary One.
We are really proud of them!
We have been busy exploring letters!
We had great fun making letters with the Pipe Cleaners.
... Glitter Trays!
We had great fun mark making and writing in the glitter too.
Some of, well lots of us really went home looking like little Christmas Trees too! ;-)
We love it!!
We had some super fun playing games too.
We practiced taking turns and sharing.
We played some memory games too.
We had to use our observation skills to see what was missing!
We have been reading some Traditional Tales and stories this week.
Using Paper Bags we made paper bag puppets to act out some of our stories such as Jack and the Beanstalk.
Time to explore magnets this week too!
We have been very busy looking to find out about materials that are Magnetic and Non-Magnetic.
We have been learning more about 2D and 3D shape too.
We have been using 'feely' bags to feel the different shapes.
As some of our children get ready for Primary One, we have been visiting different parts of the school.
Last week they visited the music room.
What fun they had exploring the musical instruments.
And finally, following the children's interest some really super fun outside playing playground games!
What's the time Mr Wolf and Duck, Duck Goose were both very popular.
Remember to pop back so for some more pictures and updates.
